April 4Apr 4 Popular Post I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this but here goes. I discovered this miniature workbench in the market place of Matera, Italy. The overall dimensions are: 12 x 4 3/4(h) x 5” wide. There are 8 planes, 9 chisels/gouges, 3 hammers, 1 bowsaw, 1 drawer, and 2 try/bevel squares. It’s almost complete and I’ll have very little to repair/replace. I was told that it as made by an “older” cabinet maker in town. There’s something on the bottom of the top that the drawer blocks out. Opinions????
April 4Apr 4 @FrederickH That's a beautiful Keepsake! Love it. There may be a twisting block underneath that prevents drawer from being remove. If so, all you do is reach underneath and twist it so the drawer passes it and pulls out.

The drawer is encased in a 5-sided box and I can't the box loose to get a look at what's written there.
April 4Apr 4 Super find, Rick. The talent and ability needed to create that workbench may have hidden the "secret" that needs to be discovered for the drawer removal.
