Haida War Club

I've been admiring the pic off of the home page for the wood carving section for a week or so now. I just now saved it, it was titled as "Haida War Club". Internet says natives from around the British Columbia area. I'm not sure if it's a stock image, from the forum sometime in the past, a vintage piece, or from a contemporary maker similar to the guys in the flintlock world recreating eastern woodland war clubs, but I like it. Original or contemporary it's a solid build ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I'm also unfamiliar with the Haida tribe so I'll get to do a little reading.

Love History, Thanks for the link

@aaronc, the source I retrieved the image from is Don's Maps, a very informative site of one mans travels around the globe and his documentation of his travels, a pretty cool thing. A lot to read, and a lot to see on various topics. I really need to start getting the attributions squared away here in our community as I add our wiki to our digs.

I am aware of attribution and citations, and I'll be working on those within my long list of things to do here. For an example, I experimented with the display of citations in our Lodgpole Pine wiki page that I transferred over from our existing wiki.

If you see our wiki page, and scroll down near the bottom click on Image Citations and you'll see image citations displayed. This is the proper way to do things, and I'm working on it.

The original wiki page for Lodgepole Pine, you'll see a block for file references:

The Patriot Woodwiki is the information resource system for The Patriot Woodworker woodworking community and visitors. Login, share, learn!

Now that I am retired, and may have more time on my hands after our big move, I plan on really digging in and making our community here a robust place of factual information on all things woodworking, it's a tall order, but it'll come together, and at some point in time I plan on opening up our wiki here to open edit by our members so they can help contribute to the wiki with factual and referenced information.

Whew! And that's assuming the Good Lord, has it in his will to let me be here, for a bit longer ๐Ÿ™‚

Great link, lots of great stuff posted there. Good luck with the move boss. Hope your time is plenty and your workspace is as you want it when all is said and done. You end up in Tennessee we may have to meet up for pizza or a burger someday.
