Bench top band saw

I just found a Rikon 10" benchtop #10-3061

I have that bandsaw and it's great. I hope the pre-owned one looks solid and hopefully you can negotiate the price a bit too.

I don't own a bandsaw. ☹️ Maybe one day.

And as a side note - I have found Rikon customer service to be great. First a real person answered my calls (I'm already in a better state of mind with that) and then I was connected with someone who actually seems to care about helping. Based on a couple calls for help with setup and blade change, I am very happy with Rikon.

And note, this was around the same time I had received major runaround from another company who would not communicate other than online forms and email. That experience made me very careful about what company I will spend my workshop dollars.

Update-I bought the rikon bandsaw on Sunday, paid full price with no regrets.

The seller was a scroll saw artist, and the bandsaw was used in preparation for his scroll creations. He included several new blades and other accessories.

His wife had died last month and he was preparing to move closer to his son & family.

A delightful gentleman and we chatted for probably an hour. He showed some his work and it was beautiful! I encouraged him to stay with his hobby.

I told him about tpw and the great people here. He said he would check it out.

You are going to love this saw. Obviously very well cared for. Glad it worked out for you.

Good on ya! You won't regret it. How much?

Awesome Jim. I always love when there's a new addition to the family. Congratulations!

Thanks for the backstory as well as inviting the gentleman to TPW.

For rough cutting before routing, any small benchtop bandsaw will work. Grizzly Industrial is usually the best balance of quality and price, WEN is fine on a budget, and I’d be cautious with VEVOR unless you don’t mind some tinkering; honestly, setup and a good blade matter more than the brand here.
