Not sure what type of wood it is. The person I got it from didn’t know. It is around 5” in diameter and 3.5” tall. I still need to put a finish on it. Going for a different shape.

Not sure either, bit it sure is purddy!

It is very hard.

I would venture to guess that it's my favorite wood.  Mesquite.

Not pecan, I have turned a lot of that. I am leaning toward some type of rosewood, mainly Indian rosewood.

After looking at it some more, I think you're probably right Rusty. Haven't worked with rosewood for some time but it's starting to come back to me.
