October 3, 2025Oct 3 I got some quarter-sawn sycamore once. It's a very nice and figured wood. When one of my daughters was about to graduate from Sycamore High School, I thought I'd make her and her friends some sycamore Shaker oval boxes as graduation presents. Well, of 10 attempts to bend the box into shape for a #2, one did not crack apart. So it's not a very good bending wood.
