The Throne

I've been tasked with making the Pharoah's Throne for the upcoming performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  I've been running around the house measuring angles and dimensions to get a basic design together.  I found this and thought it was good for anyone designing a chair.

Thanks! I used that to make some deck chairs. I found the 5° angle to be a little too steep to be comfortable for the upright back.

look up the coronation chair for the British king.  thing is huge, and not to normal ergonomic standards.  it's just imposing.  so i'd think along those lines.  wider, taller (with a foot stool/platform for occupant comfort), tall back (at least 18" above the head of the person sitting in it).

it's not just a chair, it's a statement to all:  this is the king!!
