Good afternoon guys, I am looking at hand planes at a local fle flea market. A couple of them have loose to t e s they will not Titan down. How easy is this to ?

Most planes have a screw that runs vertically through the handle.

Thanks Ron. Yeah, the screws are the way tight. Won't turn anymore

Unscrew them, go over to the grinder....remove 2 or 3 threads from either end of the threaded shaft..clean it up, and re-install.

Sorry, I use voice technology(?) to post most of the time, but the forum will only work with this type of technology very poorly. I should have checked before posting, but was driving.
