Question/Post 1 to avoid confusion for a Delta knowledgeable person..

What is this worth?? I think it's the only one I've seen.. It has the fence with some really long rails 2 miter gauges and some kind of vice

Is than an 8” or 10” saw?  The art deco look is cool.

Wow, that is a small footprint for a 10” saw.

I'm usually confused anyway, so that's not a problem.

Don't do appraisals due to factors such as location, condition, etc. .

Due to the C-Channel style fence rails it has to be either an 8" model number 34-500, or a 9" model 34-600 both produced in the Mid/Late 1950's

The vice you're referring to is probably a Tenon Jig.

I could have worded that better. I was more looking for how rare it is and if would be a good restoration project.. It is listed as a 10" and I found one that looks identical on EBay listed as a 10".. the C rails were most likely added later.. I was thinking that the vice might attach to a miter gauge..I have 6 table saws and I still don't have the one I want for my BN100YOS, so I'm not sure if I need another one just because it looks cool. Here's a couple more pix it they add any more insight..

No help on your technical question, but to answer this question, "yeah, you probably do; like clamps and routers; you never can have too many.":P

:ChinScratch: You can't go by eBay! listings, they're sometimes as accurate as Craigs-List listings.

Delta 9-inch notice knobs and switch locations. The style knobs like yours were only used on the eight, and nine-inch saws.

Delta 10 inchers used the round fence rails from the first 10-inch 1160 Tilt-Table saws.

The vise is a clamp on bench vise.

THANK YOU!! Obviously you are correct.. Interestingly, neither saw is being sold by the person who owned and used it. One says it was his grandfathers and the EBay listing is a machinery dealer. I would expect better from the dealer. That saw is on a home made stand and it looks like there are 9 and 10 inch blades hanging on the side.. I wrote to both of them asking for pictures of the model # tags.. If that vise is an accessory to the saw, based on this crash course I have been taking on vintage Delta's, that alone might be worth double what I will pay for the whole thing.. I'm gunna need a new building and it's my lucky day,, there's an auction TODAY selling a bunch of buildings..

I think you might be right. I'll need a couple more porto-garages

I have been corrected, that looks to be a 9" saw NOT 10" as listed... still looks cool though..

The vise is not a Delta accessory; Stanley and a few others sold them they're basically a portable clamp on bench vise.

I was hoping even though I couldn't find anything to tie them together.. I think we can all agree that it's made in the USA.. I hate to buy a complete machine with the intension of parting it out and I wouldn't feel right gouging people who need a small piece to complete a restore BUT I have been watching this machine for over 2 months, the price keeps going down. It has a new(er) Dayton 1HP motor on it.. The copper in the cord is worth more than I will pay.. It isn't the rare antique I thought but I can't let it go to the scrapyard either...  If anyone needs parts,, I might have them in the next couple weeks...
