June 6, 20251 yr Popular Post comment_357264 From a very old Ohio No. 0-5 Jack plane.. and.. That Smoother sitting there? A Stanley No. 4-1/2, Type 11 ...to smooth things out after the jack plane was done...Then.. I don't have a router bit that small to do these round-overs...No. 60-1/2 works just fine.. Goal for this morning? was to plane all the tapers down smooth on all 4 legs.. Last tool to see the legs? Was the Stanley No. 80...again.. Report
June 8, 20251 yr Author Popular Post comment_357336 Well..picked a plane for $5 the other day....decided to sharpen it up.. Tried out on Soft Maple...then, after a jack plane got done.. Doing diagonals to level a few high spots...and an old Craftsman sander.. with 80 grit....then.. Started taking down the hump/bumps in the road... Best face will be the show face for the Table's Top...Lumber is Ash.. Report
