Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted May 28 Popular Post Report Posted May 28 I was going through my stash of veneers for a project, many of these I bought in the 80s from places like Constantine (when they were in NY) and Bob Morgan (now gone. Anyway, I found this species and will be using one in my American Women displays, but I have no idea what it is. the color in the photo is very close to true and it has a striking appearance for what I'm using it for. Any idea what it is????? lew, HandyDan, Gerald and 3 others 4 2 Quote

4DThinker Posted May 28 Report Posted May 28 Looks like what I recently bought from Amazon labelled as "red zebra wood". 4D HandyDan, lew, Grandpadave52 and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted May 28 Author Popular Post Report Posted May 28 I went to the Amazon site and looked it up. I found some sold by Barrington Hardwoods, so I went to their site and looked for it there. They had a description that said this: "Red Zebrawood (also known as Ebiara or Berlinia) is a lumber that comes from West Africa, and is closely related to Zebrawood." Being from West Africa, I'm guessing it's the same or a closely related species to the one Lew linked. HARO50, HandyDan, Grandpadave52 and 2 others 5 Quote
