Morris is sleeping on the job (again) so I have 5 bullets of accomplishments for last week,  following the rules given in the email:

1.) Classified

2) Classified

3) sorted out material for a small table and milled 4 leg blanks

4) sensitive nature material

5) same as 4

This week I plan to continue on with the same.:throbbinghead:

Saturday morning funeral for brother of close friends of ours. He was a retired, captain of detectives, 35 year veteran of local police department. He suffered from ALS.

After church Sunday, youngest grandsons basketball travel league championship tourney. They won game 1 fairly easy. Championship game, they were down 8 points with 3-1/2 minutes to go. Tied it with 1.5 seconds remaining to go into OT. Won it by 2 points to win league championship. Ended up a perfect 22-0 for the season.

Week ahead; TBD. Try to gain a few minutes each day preparing for the annual idiot day of advancing clocks one hour. That's one donut lost overnight.

This is usually where Morris posts his Monday Threads....as in what did you get done over the weekend.

Yes, this belongs in the Woodworking section..always has.

Somehow, I got appointed to do the Monday Morning Post, when Morris forgets what day this is...

Sounds like me,

  1. Field tested on a classified *********** project
  2. Found ******** so made modifications
  3. Tested the ********* to ensure modifications worked
  4. Introduced version *.*.*** into the production ************.
  5. Successfully worked ******* into ********.

Just as an aside, when I was in grad school, I interviewed with NSA (that few people had heard of at the time).  Took me all weekend to fill out the FBI paperwork, indicating where I had ever lived and worked, and same with all my relatives.  Problem was, I was graduating in 5 months and the whole process would have taken about 9 months.  My to be wife was a teacher, so she'd need to find a job starting in the fall and I could not be sure if and when I'd be hired.   Also, if I ever needed another job, there was not much I could say about my experience on a resume.  I sometimes wonder how my life would have been different if I gotten that job using mathematical group theory to decrypt and crypt messages.

Had to take the wife to an eye clinic to get cleared for cataract and glaucoma surgery.   I ran up the street to the furniture bank and repaired 4 tables and a dresser.  We are getting a lot more repairs now that we have 5 trucks doing pick up and deliveries.

Shoot sorry about that Steve! I'm home working my job from the dining room table, and being home I forget it's Monday! Thanks for stepping up to the plate!

I need to give ya a salary raise for doing this Steve. How about 5% added to what we pay you now?

I accomplished cleaning off my desk in my office in the shop. Son and DIL were helping my wife do a kitchen redo, I was told to stay out of the way since I can't lift anything so I came and sat in my office. Monday, I had to attend the funeral of a friend who passed away suddenly.

This week, I get a shot in my back Wednesday and hopefully get rid of this pain in my back and leg.

Not much woodworking going on right now but I'm hopeful I can get on with a few jobs soon.

Till then I'll just pick up the donuts and follow along.

I’d like to get into the shop. Temperature is dropping and I don’t want to pay for extra heat…

I had to do this when I worked in the nuke plant in Shippingport Pa. with the NRC, they ask for 3 references, non-family, they called these 3 people & asked about me and then asked each of them for 3 references who were called, a total of 12 people. A 5-year work history was also required.
