Replacing Back Yard Lawn

Howdy folks, I got a few questions for ya's.

We are going to put our home on the market next year, and I want to spice the place up a bit and do some inexpensive eye candy cosmetics around the home, and one of them is our backyard grass.

Over the years we've been plagued by gophers and dogs digging and it's just a huge uneven mess, it's hard to even mow the grass because even on the highest setting the mower bottoms out on mounds and larger uneven surfaces. On top of that I have been putting band-aids on our sprinkler system for a few years now and it just needs total replacement too.

My biggest question, because I am such a lazy butt these days, is there a way to remove my existing sod without pick axes and shovels and days of back breaking labor? I have researched a little sod removing machines, but nothing about them says they'll work on very uneven surfaces.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Cab you get a Bobcat into your yard? Seems to me that renting one with an attachment called a "soil pulverizer" would quickly level and get your yard ready for re seeding...and probably be less work than a sod cutter. Moving all that sod around makes me tired just thinking about it.

You stayin  in the same area or plannin on some where else? I don't really even have a yard here so I doubt I could suggest a machine but yea a bob cat would do the trick but those can be pretty spendy to rent from my understanding.

This lil bugger may do the trick just did some google searching

Lots of lawn leveling ideas on YouTube.  Adding topsoil and using a leveling rake being one of them.

Thanks Dan, as far as the Amazon links go, they will not work anymore. We can certainly copy paste them but they will not auto link. Also remember if you do copy paste links from Amazon you only have to use the first part of the link the rest is trash and full of tracking information.

For example your link can look like this.

https://www.amazon.com/Dremmt-Leveling-Stainless-Landscape-Backyard/dp/B0D1VFP3PY

Only up the to the last forward slash or up to ref= is ever needed. :)

I'll explain in another topic why our Amazon links won't work anymore. Thanks Dan!
