Thanks Lew. I didn't really do much cleanup before the pictures. I try to put everything away and sweep/vacuum at least every other day. My father taught me "a place for everything and everything in its place". If I didn't follow that mantra he put me in MY place and what was RED was not my face. :D

Plus I have learned a lot in the last year about collecting/controlling the sawdust.

 now that funny!

Bubba, your shop your rules, love the sign, and love the shop!!! You pretty much have all you need right there in that space. Hey what's that table for in the first pic with the tracks and toggles?

Nice space Bubba. Thanks for sharing your get away retreat.

Only thing it seems to be missing is a large coffee mug and a few donuts.

John, my daughter gave me both signs, "MyGarage MyRules", and the one below it, "PAPAW'S FIX-IT SHOP, IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT, IF IT IS BROKE TAKE IT TO PAPAW". Papaw is what my granddaughter calls me (among other things).

The table in the first pic is my main workbench with a couple of T-tracks, miter saw and drill press. The second pic is the workbench I built 40 years ago when I first bought the house.

Nothing wrong with tinker town….

  • Author

Thanks @BillyJack. Since I retired a couple of years ago Tinker Town helps me keep somewhat sane.

All my brothers and sisters are retired now. My brother who thought he’d have more golf time , now has a grand son around all the time. He's not  happy… My sister.  who was a handicap teacher decided to retire , but finds she constantly busy with the grand up kids. Another    sister sits with elderly. Another sister retires this August.

So having the time to tinker is a good thing…
