This is kind of a departure from my usual turning as root balls are more difficult to find. This is a Japanese Yew root ball that succumbed to cold winter. Used Chestnut Stain's and  Chroma Craft dyes. Finish is

Very cool and creative Gerald. Being I'm basically clueless about turning especially a root ball, how do you clean it prior to turning? Pressure washer?

This one was not bad and I used a water hose. I did a Walnut last year and did pressure wash it but that does not get the stones out of the center.
