Hey fellow wood turners, been a while since I was on here. Life has kept me busy with kids and grandkids. I am still turning and learning. I have been making all kinds of items, mostly for gifts. I am getting more into lifted boxes and bowls. Been making pens for 15 years now. I have been invited to teach a beginners pen turning class at a local tech school which I am very excited about.

The teacher is a good friend of mine and she has students that want to make pens and duck calls. She has a small mini lathe. The only problem is that she has no tools or accessories to go with it. It has a MT 1 taper spindle. If by any chance you have any MT 1 accessories lying around and not using, would you consider donating them for the class? Also looking for Sierra style pen kits and a few duck call reeds. All help will be appreciated. Thank you

Hey, Keith!

Congrats on the teaching gig! That should be a blast. I will post this in next "Wednesdays Wisdom..." to help get more coverage.

You can get spindle adapters to go from 1 up to MT2. Should solve the problem.

Thanks, never thought of that because mine is MT 2
