Popular Post Steve Krumanaker Posted January 27, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted January 27, 2024 There is a guy in a facebook group I belong to who has been posting pictures of birds he's turned, I'm sure Lew knows who I'm talking about. They are kind of stylized and I can't say they really like any real bird I've ever seen. Even so, they caught my eye and I wanted to try doing some. These are on a sycamore limb. Birds are spalted maple the beaks are ebony. Gunny, Headhunter, FrederickH and 13 others 10 3 3 Quote
Popular Post lew Posted January 27, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted January 27, 2024 I'd say you nailed it! Really like your "display mount" idea, too!! Cal, Grandpadave52, DuckSoup and 6 others 9 Quote
Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted January 27, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted January 27, 2024 Most Excellent Steve. Piece of art. The spalted maple is perfect for the "touch" of realism. Agree with Lew, the "display mount" only adds to the birds. HARO50, Steve Krumanaker, Gunny and 4 others 7 Quote
