They work great, or at least they have for me.  I didn't watch the video but bought a sample pack two years ago.  I'm still on the same 120 grit that I started with (no, I don't sand every day or all day long, but still...).  Obviously, I've used other grits and pads but the 120 grit that I initially used is still going strong.
