January 26, 20242 yr Author comment_328701 Thanks for all the comments 😊 The Sapele is so hard and closed grain that the end grain is almost as pretty as the long grain. I’m not that happy with the SOSS barrel hinges but I have a bag of them from a long time ago and figured I should start using them up. They are so deep that it prevents any profile other than what you see or maybe a very slightly larger round over. I’m going back to a nicely fitted lid with no hinges. Paul Report
