Popular Post DAB Posted January 2, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted January 2, 2024 shooting buddy asked for some help, got me some basic dimensions (has to fit in a certain spot in a smaller apt), and so i went shopping and cutting today. top done, then attach some legs. still need to make a lower shelf as well as a set of upper, shallow shelves. that's for another day. it's already pretty heavy, so i'll take the legs back off for delivery, and also detach the lower shelf from the legs. screw gun is all you need to put it back together. lew Posted January 2, 2024 Report Posted January 2, 2024 Hardboard "veneer" makes cleanup easy. Cal, DAB and Grandpadave52 3 Quote
Grandpadave52 Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 Should serve the purpose quite well and be robust enough for a reloading press. Easier to build than move. Hope there's a service elevator unless it's a 1st floor unit. Even then, I wouldn't be much help moving it far. I struggle moving 1/2 sheet of 3/4" ply. Cal 1 Quote
Gerald Posted January 4, 2024 Report Posted January 4, 2024 @DAB do you have a plan for a shooting bench. We built a berm at my sons place and now need a bench. Thanks Cal and Grandpadave52 2 Quote
DAB Posted January 4, 2024 Author Report Posted January 4, 2024 No plan. The best are made of concrete sitting on a concrete pad. Can use CMUs for legs. Never rot. Gerald, Cal and Grandpadave52 2 1 Quote

DAB Posted January 7, 2024 Author Report Posted January 7, 2024 did a little math this morning, at 55 pounds/cubic foot for dry pine, this bench should weigh about 215 pounds before you start putting things on it. it's not going anywhere. HARO50, Cal and Grandpadave52 3 Quote
