Looks real sturdy.

it is.  based on my shop work tables, which i have a lot of experience with, but the front piece is a 4x4, with notches for the legs to fit into.  the user wants to mount a single stage reloading press, so need a 4x4 to mount that to.  have experience with that as well on my own reloading bench.  top is double thickness 3/4 ply, with 1/8" hardboard to finish it off (just loose for now).

Should serve the purpose quite well and be robust enough for a reloading press. Easier to build than move. Hope there's a service elevator unless it's a 1st floor unit. Even then, I wouldn't be much help moving it far. I struggle moving 1/2 sheet of 3/4" ply.

@DAB do you have a plan for a shooting bench. We built a berm at my sons place and now need a bench.

Thanks

No plan. The best are made of concrete sitting on a concrete pad. Can use CMUs for legs. Never rot.

did a little math this morning, at 55 pounds/cubic foot for dry pine, this bench should weigh about 215 pounds before you start putting things on it.  it's not going anywhere.
