November 4, 20232 yr Popular Post Hays county pecan crotch with fiddleback grain. This is the only surviving crotch blank out of the truck load. The other half of this had too many bark inclusions to salvage. Kiln dried to >5% moisture content before 2nd turning. Had some metallic enameled medallions made up to "sign" my work going forward. Walnut oil as sanding sealer. Sanded to 400, round of Acks, then Danish Oil. .40 Edited November 4, 20232 yr by forty_caliber
