November 4, 20232 yr Popular Post In turning spoons I have always been looking for a better way to carve the bowl. Started with 4” Arbortech, Arbortech ball, carve with power carver. I was a video and this one did in on lathe with one jaw re moved from the chuck. Had to try this as it sounded good. bowl size and handle can be changed in size depending on the chuck and lathe you use.

Have done something similar in the past and you just have to define the space and keep your fingers behind the line. I think I was at about 650.
November 5, 20232 yr Popular Post That worked pretty good I'd say. I have never done it but I've that putting a piece of masking tape on the handle will warn you if you're getting to close.
