i was cruising the internet looking for hardwood supply sources and came across this company in Arizona https://www.woodworkerssource.com

As a point of reference I am in central New York state about two hours east of Buffalo NY

Just for inspiration I went into the PROJECT GALLERY page to see what their customers were building from their wood products  https://www.woodworkerssource.com/project-gallery/.

As I scrolled down to the third line of images I was floored to find my stuff in their gallery post ???????????

I have never done any business with this company never knew anything about them prior to today but there I was, two of my bowls and a hall table and my beagle sitting on that table. HOLY COW how in the heck does this happen. A bit of false advertising as folks would assume , I guess, that I am a customer and created my stuff with their wood products.

At least they posted my name calabrese55 associated with the images .

it appears that i didn't make the cut.

I've had a few cases where photos from my blog ended up on other sites.  One was selling them as wallpaper for PCs.

My ex, an eye doctor, hired a company to build a web site for her business. She had me pose for a photo as a patient getting his eyes checked to use on the site.  A week or so after the web site went live she got an official looking notice that the photo was copyrighted and she needed to either take the photo down or pay them a licensing fee.  I told them to have them provide  proof that they owned the copyright which she did as her office employee took the photo using my camera. She never heard back from them.  Scums do seem to thrive on the interweb.

Unfortunately I must say yes as I speak from experience. If you find a hairy Italian guy in a pink tutu and white tights it is me.

Aw heck I will just save you the mental image or the hours of searching

I have a thriving Etsy store.  A few months ago I was trolling through the pages making sure my prices on an item were competitive.  A shop there had cloned my shop, pictures and descriptions and set up his own shop.   Needless to say, he isn’t on Etsy any more.
