Building a "6-Pak"?

Thin scraps of Pine, ASh and 1/4" Plywood...and have 2 days to build it?

Start with the Infamous Full Sized Drawing...

.6-pakbottomlaidout.JPG.9cb647e45e3710cdcb872bfd52682fe2.JPG

Besides a square..needed a full sized "Bottle" to lay out the spaces..

6-paklayouttool.JPG.5f42ec5a6081a0cc3326a55a5c9ad15c.JPG

Lines are drawn to the thickness of the scraps...

6-pakside.JPG.48fb116d5cb633d9df95fcd501b22713.JPG

about 1/4" thick, or so...layout square, two of them..

Lay out and mill 2 ends out of the Ash blanks..

6-pakendslaidout.JPG.2384349ec914f5b7f0f5992904f61aee.JPG

Use the lay out lines to lay out for some slots..

6-pakcenterlaidout.JPG.8c87b942174f55a5425a41333f94946c.JPG

And then layout for the matching slots in the dividers..

6-pakDividers.JPG.57ee49c368cd311f88d952d61fe0a59a.JPG

Then decide on HOW to attach the dividers to the ends..

6-pakjointforthecenterdividerdone.JPG.b74a03e808ab138554dd1e9495520442.JPG

Finger joints at the corners...not sure what to call the half lap joint...

And that was just an hour last night...have all the other notches to mill this afternoon.   And..decide on a handle of some sort..

Stay tuned..

Seems to work just fine..

Turned out really nice.

Now grab a white Castle "take-home-a-sack" of sliders, a dozen Krispy-Kremes to go and it's party time.

That is a lot of the Dew. Nice job

Now it just needs some environmental controls to keep it cold.  :)

Sorry to hear that. Such things as happen to our old legs just can't do what we used to. I would say no descending to Dungeon for a while.:(

Sounds like you'll be sidelined at least for a short time, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Take it easy for a while Bandit. Gerald's advice is spot on. Take care

As difficult as it might seem, rest is the best medicine. Don’t rush the recovery.
