Who was working on the arm spindles of a chair...use just a block plane...

7 benches were in the front room...so.

They had enough for each bench....I did get to see Megan's Bench....way shorter than any of the others, BTW..

Ever want to just sit down and work beside a bench?

This can be raised to suit, and rotated to where you are working...

THE "A" Chest...I did get to paw around in it..did not try to open the Dutch Chest..

Those clamps have a rack to hold them...

If you had the $52 cash in hand..

RoadTripIronplanestop.JPG.533277b1d9c6cc2b2b444970754f9d35.JPG

You could buy one of these Iron Planing stops...block of wood not included..

An "Add-a-vise",  fits through a round dog hole...That angled thingy to the right?

Bench leg is angled, so is the leg vise..and the lower Keeper rail, as well...

This was hanging on the wall over by the Dutch Tool Chest....

Picked a few (FREE!) goodies....then stopped at a Barn sale on the way home...Lunch was back in the Dayton OH area..Carillon Brewery.

Want to thank a Mr. Eric Brown for this trip....I drove 1/2 way, met him at his house, and he drove the rest of the way to Covington,KY...then Lunch, then back to his house...

Gene: He now has the 2 Craftsman #3720 ( Sargent No. 79) planes...as I am having him Nickel Plate both of them...

Will try to get a few photos of the free goodies, later...and the $2 Mitrebox and Saw...we'll see

Perfect weather..traffic was better than the usual idiots ....other than a Semi that broke down ON the KY side of the bridge....

I'm Pooped...the day started @0600 this morning...just now getting home..

Place is called Lost Art Press, and was one of TWO open houses they will have each year.

Glad you had a good time.  I didn't make it.   Did you get to tour the Anthe building (their new warehouse and office complex)?

Very Cool Steven. B)

Didn't get that far...was a bit too hot today.   Me-thinks they were all at the main store.

Traffic was getting to be a ROYAL PITA....A semi had broken down on the Covington side of the bridge.....besides, we were headed up to the Carillon Park And Brewery for Lunch.   Wasn't sure IF we could get to the Anthe Building....

Mr. Brown lives up in Clayton, OH.   and I drove there first, then we loaded up and headed south...spent more time on the road than doing the meet & greet....

Still, a very FUN day....

A great day! Thanks so much for taking us along.

Thanks Bandit for the tour. Was there a few years ago, but after hours so they were closed. Peeked in the windows though. Ended up HERE for dinner that night. Figured if it was good enough for Hoffman & Cruise aka Rainman, I'd be happy. Wasn't disappointed.

Glad you had a good, safe day.

I was wondering what Megan was doing after she left PWW. Really interesting tour, and you no doubt had a fantastic lunch...would love to go there as well. But what i liked best int he photos was the swivel seat attached to the bench leg...what a cool idea!

Thanks for the ride along Steven

@steven newman, sounds like those planes will see a new, shiny life. Glad you could use them.

Really? I was just in Covington a couple of weeks ago for work. I will be going back again in November (?).  I have never heard of this place. Time for some research!  Thanks for sharing! Looks like a good place to go.

Megan had been doing some free-lancing work after PWW.  Some of it was with Chris.  Recently, he hired her on as employee#1

Maybe in the winter open house we should plan a TPW get together?
