That's funny!!! I told them that if they swing them in the house, they(swords) will feed the fireplace.

do not hit your sister over the head with the sword.  swords are for stabbing, clubs (that's next week) are for hitting over the head.

Today's(Tue) project is to build 3-4 birdhouses, for the grand kids, to take back to Long Island. Should be straight forward. Tomorrow's/next day project will be these "activity toys". We have some creek walking, a County Fair, water park, and play parks to squeeze in. May be a mistake???

Awesome Rick. Besides building cool projects and teaching, you're building great memories which will far outlast the projects. Kudos my friend!

Birdhouse completed, wife's cousin visited for tractor/ATV/pellet gun practice. We then went to the local stream to see a large black water snake and this large brown fishing spider(3" in size). A good day for all! Their mother nixed the idea of the rubber band guns.

Yesterday was tractors, snakes, spiders, and ATVs. Today is zero turn mowers and birds.

It's the heat!

My twin grandsons were always into swording (is that a word?), eventually ended up in SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism).   One is now in college majoring in history (and loves medieval history).

Something strange....walking back from some "dumpster diving", with the Grand Kids, at the local college, we found another dead bluejay, about a block from our house. It looked as though it had just died. Could this really hot(98+ ℉) weather stress them enough to overheat and kill them????
