May 13, 20233 yr Popular Post I just completed a solid cherry entertainment center for my neighbor. I sanded to 400 and applied 4 coats of General Finishes Armor Seal semi. An absolutely foolproof product.

I use bowls from Aldi’s and pour about 3 or 4 ounces in the bowl. I use a clean, new cotton rag folded into a square and apply the finish overlapping just slightly. The first coat will dry in a few hours. Lightly knick the dust nibs off with 220 sandpaper, wipe the dust and apply the next coat. Keep it up until you have the finish you want. Easy Peasy.

I'll never go back to spray on finishes Ron, too much mess and fuss, I love wipe ons.
