    I too was gifted one of his amazing awls a few weeks ago. Made with purpleheart. The craftsmanship is over the top. Rivals any of the high end tool makers.

    My wife said, "that is beautiful; you're not going to use it are you?":P I've only waxed it, wrapped it up and placed it with my very few high end tools thus far.
