Turned a carver's mallet from some osage orange that was sent to me by a friend.  OO is known as Bois D'arc in these parts and pronounced BO-DARK in Texan.

    Nice looking mallet. I'm turning some osage right myself. For as hard and dense as it is, it is a dream to turn.

    That's a good looking mallet! I've never even picked up a piece of Osage Orange. How's the heft?

    Nice mallet . In my part of LA it is BO DOC , of coarse in the south the french works
