Grandpadave52 Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 Cool to see you're having success with your bucket garden David. I'm always amazed the big difference in growing seasons between the South and our location. Looking foward seeing updates as you begin harvesting the fruits of your labor. Thanks for sharing. difalkner Posted May 19, 2023 Author Report Posted May 19, 2023 It's been fun, Dave! Looking forward to walking out back and getting some fresh veggies soon. HARO50, Cal and Grandpadave52 3 Quote
difalkner Posted June 10, 2023 Author Report Posted June 10, 2023 Just a little update with some veggies in the buckets; we've gotten zucchini and cucumbers so far. Carrots, garlic, and onions will be ready soon. Basil, peppermint, and tomatoes are looking good, too. Potatoes in the bin are doing well but still have another month or so before they're ready. lew, HARO50, Cal and 1 other 1 3 Quote

Grandpadave52 Posted June 10, 2023 Report Posted June 10, 2023 Love it when a plan comes together especially when you can eat it. Nice to see everything so green there. Cal, difalkner, HARO50 and 1 other 4 Quote

Onions, garlic, and potatoes are from store-bought organic from Walmart. We just bought extra and I planted them. lew, Cal, Grandpadave52 and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Don't remember the exact procedure but you end up with a barrel of potatoes Something like this looks like a good idea. Harvest from the bottom up. I was thinking of using the red cedar dog eared fence pickets from HD for the sides. http://101waystosurvive.com/survail_tips/how-to-grow-a-compact-potato-grow-box/ Cal, HARO50, difalkner and 1 other 3 1 Quote
