December 31, 20223 yr Popular Post When I walk into the shop, one of the first things I do I put on an apron containing what I consider to be a few essential supplies to have on my person at all times in the shop. - 0.5 mechanical pencil - 6” stainless steel ruler - 4” machinist square - 12’ tape measure - small spiral bound notebook What’s in your apron?
December 31, 20223 yr Popular Post Don't use an apron. Pencil is about all I carry around the shop and a pocket knife is part of my daily carry items.

December 31, 20223 yr Popular Post I very seldom wear my apron. When I do, it's usually when I'm doing finish work. What's on my apron would be a better question for me.
December 31, 20223 yr Popular Post I think I've got an apron or two, but have never gotten into the habit of putting one on when I visit my garage shop or basement shop room. As for what I've got in my pockets related to shop use that might be a USB thumb drive with CNC files on it, a router bit or two that I know I'll be using, a 1/2" wide 12' Stanley tape measure with both imperial and metric scales, and a pencil. Squares and such I keep close to where they will be used in both shop spaces.
December 31, 20223 yr Popular Post Mostly cob webs. But now you've got me curious. Probably lots of missing pencils, utility knives and other things I haven't been able to find for years.
January 1, 20233 yr Popular Post Good topic Static, I never have worn an apron, but I intend to change that since I find myself leaving things around too much, and forgetting where I set them, such as measuring implement, writing materials, knives and such, I am thinking about a leather apron, or? Any suggestions?

January 1, 20233 yr Popular Post Nothing in my turning smock, flat work apron: 4" starrett square, 6" starrett square, 6 inch metal ruler, wooden pencil, lock back Buck knife, 25' tape. Noticed today my pockets are showing some wear.
January 1, 20233 yr Popular Post Turning smock is stained with tree sap. Other than that sawdust. .40

Any suggestions? Last Christmas my wife got me a Johnathon Katz Moses apron because she was tired of all the saw dust on my clothes lol. I like it plenty of room to move and enough pockets but not too many if that makes sense.
