That plane is beautiful. Awesome restoration. You have an excellent piece of Americana Midwest Indiana history. Really fairly rare especially in such condition.

Van Camp Hardware was Indiana's version of Blue Grass Hardware. Most likely was a Stanley branded specifically for Van Camp. I have a couple Van Camp socket chisels.

 

BTW, excellent work as usual on the box.

Double cool. Obviously someone with no connection to us Hoosiers. IDK about the block planes. I think some of those were made by Miller-Falls. I have a M-F 56. I love it.

I like a really nice pine box so long as I can't fit in it.:P
