I finish turned a pecan bowl today. This piece has a lot of spotting in it. Different than the other pecan I have turned.

    Nice piece . I have seen that same characteristic in some of my Pecan. Might have been failed limb sprouts or iron in the soil but that is all just a guess. Like Forrest Gump's momma used to say " you never know what is inside" a pecan log.
