Popular Post kmealy Posted November 17, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted November 17, 2022 Anyone seen any great Black Friday tool deals? I just saw a video on Lowe's and they had some various brand cordless tool sets. I don't really need any of them. Heavy on Craftsman stuff. Pass. Haven't checked out Menards or Home Depot yet. I was in Aldi yesterday buying some milk and they have a "portable workbench", sort of a Workmate type of thing for about $25. Artie, HARO50, Cal and 3 others 6 Quote
Popular Post sweensdv Posted November 17, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted November 17, 2022 The thing about Black Friday for me is that there is never anything I want or need included in any of the offerings. Usually it's pretty vanilla stuff, like who needs a drill/driver impact driver set anyways? Basically I don't waste my time on Black Friday or Cyber Monday anymore. lew, Artie, Grandpadave52 and 3 others 6 Quote

Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted November 18, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted November 18, 2022 Haven't seen Menards circular yet. Probably will be out this weekend. Home Depots HERE. Since my main platform is Ryobi, picked up the special on the Leaf Blower plus the High Pressure Inflator. Really didn't need another charger and 2ah battery with the Blower. Also purchased the Gorilla 3 step stool for the Mrs. Much safer than what she uses today. HD had several tool platforms with seemingly good prices. I just don't need any more drills, impact drivers, sanders, saws, or the like. Already have more than I can use at any given time in my remaining lifetime. Most still have tails but I dont stray from an outlet too often anymore either. Larry Buskirk, Cal, lew and 4 others 7 Quote

The theater shop manager was asking me how to get some work done for his wife, a kindergarten teacher. He needed to cut some slots in boxes like a shadow box. I concluded that his ideas would not work and probably the best way was a plunge router with a jig. He asked me if I had a plunge router. Duh. Two plunge routers, three non-plunge, and two trim routers. Yeah. Artie, Cal, Grandpadave52 and 3 others 3 3 Quote
Popular Post Gene Howe Posted November 18, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted November 18, 2022 Don't need no more tools but, I can always use more bits and blades. Other than on line, those type items don't seem to make up much of a brick and mortar store's offerings, Cal, Artie, Grandpadave52 and 2 others 5 Quote

Get past first 2 pages you will find some unusual and interesting items you might consider. Have found some gems in the tools section for small items for work. All have worked rather well. Popular Post 4DThinker Posted November 25, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted November 25, 2022 It is a challenge to resist the stampede of ads and offers that show up around black friday, and nearly any other "occasion" advertisers use as an excuse to hype their products. I nearly jumped on a HomeDepot deal for 2 batteries and a charger + any of a number of Milwaukee tools for $199 total. Then I realized I already have all the tools I've ever needed plus many I've never actually used. I cancel any order I've made on a site if they insist I become a member before finalizing my order. Why? With "membership" comes giving them my email which they sell to others and an increase in all the emails I get with "special offers" they assume I won't resist. That and a password I'll forget which will make using their site again a pain in the rear end. That's my sermon for today. Thanks for letting me vent a bit. KevTN Posted November 27, 2022 Report Posted November 27, 2022 Well I went to Woodcraft the F style were not on sale so I slipped and picked up 2 Bessey 31 inch parallel, and 400/1200 diamond stone. It was rather underwhelming this year crowd was way down. Yes I got the stare from the wife… Artie, Grandpadave52, Headhunter and 1 other 1 3 Quote
