CASE Knives Whittling Plans

I fell into a rabbit hole this past week, involving Case Knives. Long story short, a family friend gave me an old Case Hunter Knife made from 1940 to 1965, she's a beaut, looks brand new, never used, a ton of family history in it, and through my research of this knife, I fell into the rabbit hole of exploration, and landed on the CASE Knife website.

Perusing the website, I landed on this nice little page, full of whittling plans, hope you enjoy!

Your post reminded me of the knife I carried onboard the aircraft carrier. It was my goto tool. My Mom told me it belonged to my father.

Lew, that is really cool! That one you have is a Hunter like mine. During my research I found this site where you can date your knife within a range. See the Hunting series tang stamps.

My dad carried a Case pocket knife for as long as I could remember. He would have nothing else.

Couldn't tell you what my dad carried - that was his!  I always had a Barlow in my pocket.  I guess they were the original multi-wrench because they did a heap more than cutting twine

Since Dad's are the topic now, my own carried a Shrade, same one forever, then after hundreds of sharpenings, it got down to a toothpick, I gave him one for fathers day quite awhile back, he still has that one

My dad didn't carry it but had a switch blade his brother brought back from Europe when he was stationed there.  He never carried a knife but I am never without one.

My current daily carry is a Remington...knife that is. 3 blade. Purchased from Menards to replace one my step-father bought me years ago which exited my pants via a hole in my pocket. I was heartbroken over that. I've carried a pocket knife since my early teens. Lost without it.
