Yet another pecan bowl

7 1/2 x 3 pecan crotch.  Has been drying for about 6 months.  Areas were hard as a rock for the 2nd turning.  Had to slow down and mind my P's and Q's to keep it from tearing out.

Beautiful bowl , by the way I just love everything about pecan including the pies.;)

Very nice.  What do you use for the finish?

Amber shellac after hand sanding with 80 grit.  Power sanding 80 grit again after drying.  Then power sanding through 320 reversing the spindle between grits.  Followed by Acks sanding paste, then Acks finishing paste.  Lastly Odies. Generously cover all surfaces and wait 10 minutes.  Wipe away excess leaving a film.  Wait 10 minutes and burnish with a clean paper towel at about 800 rpm.

Very nice. I need to come up with a way to get better pictures.

I got some good ideas from this

That's a beauty, .40! You have an eye for a pleasing form. Love the transition to the base. Great finish, too.
