I thought I would give an update on the miter saw I bought. The Festool was pricey to say the least. Had I not had the money from the boat job I doubt I would have purchased it. It cuts perfect miters every time but so does my sons Metabo. The dual laser is nice. It’s dead on and and having it on both sides of the blade means making multiple cuts to attain accuracy is no longer an issue. It’s dead on and will split a pencil line. The dust collection is amazing but now that my son has seen it he has adapted his Metabo to pretty much the same level. The sliding fence is a convenient item. It means as your zero clearance wears the fence can be moved towards center a fraction at a time to give you a new edge on the fence. The nifty hold down clamp is worthless as it won’t clear a zero clearance fence. All in all I’m satisfied with the saw but I’m not sure that it was worth the price.

Thanks for the review Paul.
