Well I was assigned the duty of Wedding Cross Maker, our oldest girl is tying the knot with her fiance on October 1st. And being the woodworker of the two clans, of course folks would be expecting me to step up! It's a fun project, basic, simple, I'll sand to 800 then 1200 abralon, and a wipe on finish, the cross will have a base, and they are going to wrap a garland of flowers over half the cross, it'll be beautiful. Thanks for looking!

Well you got me beat, I couldn't even show up sober.

I'm happy for all of you.  Good news like that is always welcome.  Of course, we expect pictures of the cross, and the couple if they are ok with that.  Congratulations to you and your family.

Congrats to the couple and families.

Congratulations!

Having imbibed a bit, John. We'll oiled, is another phrase, along with hammered and, smashed. The Brits call it, "getting pissed". All just euphemisms for just plain old drunk.

Having never experienced such conditions (yeah, right) I can only repeat what I've heard the growns ups say.:P

I kinda thought that, :D

No drinky for this guy though! The only lubing I get is the morning cup o joe. Although lately with the wedding coming up and all, a little old fashioned lubing would sure calm the nerves! Giving away our first born and a daughter at that, it aint sitting with me right completely.

Congratulations!  I have to admit I had a couple of shots before the ceremony and I never said I do, I said I’ll try.  The preacher asked my wife is she would accept that and she said yes.

The wedding is like a death march for me Gerald. But once it's over I'll breath a sigh of relief. Like I said, ol Dad ain't dealing with it too well. I should have the cross complete this coming weekend. 😊
