August 17, 20223 yr Popular Post Finally got around to shaping the legs. First pic is the legs after routing to shape second one is the mess left after that monster pattern bit did it's job.
August 17, 20223 yr Popular Post Not sure what the blanks looked like before you pattern cut them, but when I do such things I bandsaw trim within 1/4" or so from the outline before taking them to the router. Still plenty of chips and dust produced, but less if you've only left 1/8" or less to trim off. 4D
August 17, 20223 yr Popular Post Good to see you're getting the shop messy. Sadly all those walnut chips are only good for the burn pit...well unless you have a giant press stashed out of view where you plan to make walnut OSB...hmmm?

Walnut shavings and sawdust gets spread around the perimeter of the shop. It's caustic to weeds.

I do that with the piney Pine-Sol sawdust. Seems to keep the flies away. Me, I like piped natural gas.
