I have to confess, I had to look this one up.

Nice build. Is that a carpet or rubber liner?

2x2 carpet tiles.  they come in a mixed box from HD, so no two tiles are the same.  made it look decent at least.

Looks good DAB. Carpet should afford reasonable protection for the guns. I assume these are primarily used during a timed event?

Will they be stored inside when not in use?

correct.  they only come out during organized matches.  no tools required for set up or breakdown (because no one ever brings the correct tools!), everything folds flat for storage, can lean against the wall and only take up about 4-1/2" of floor space.

had to fuss with the proportions of the pistol box area, the drawing i had made from another youtube video had that area way too big.  so kept cutting it down until it seemed about right for most common pistols.  mine fit easily, so other match type guns should also fit well.

about $60 in materials, i'll get exact numbers tomorrow when i scan receipts.  way better than $508.....yikes.  the club has money....but let's spend it wisely.

Good looking design. It's probably not much heavier than a corn-hole game board?? That said only thing extra I might consider would be adding a pair of small wheels (think plastic wheels like on a push mower) to roll them to/from location. I still need to do that to our corn-hole set. Just thinking of my shoulders and now my back after surgery. Of course the other option is just let all the "young bucks" move 'em.

Ground at the range is uneven gravel. You’d need 6-8” wheels at least. One person can carry it.

In case anyone is interested, just checked my receipts, and the total for 2 complete boxes comes to $144.93, or $72.47 each.  Just a bit less than the $509 quoted elsewhere.  But I didn't paint these pretty white.....

some sample guns in the dump box:

full sized Beretta 92 pistol, AR-15 type rifle (stock fully extended), 12 ga semi-auto shotgun (18" barrel).  All guns that would be commonly seen and used at a 2 or 3 gun match.

That is so cool, I could see using this for my BP rifles and revolvers too, thanks for the idea Dab!

Awesome DAB. Hmmm...I can see usefulness for one of these on a private range where one is just target shooting various guns. Should beats the truck tailgate.

If you need details, I could sketch it out with dimensions. Post the pdf.

some of this was trial and error.

That would be greatly appreciated DAB. Unlikely I'd get one made this year now but would be interested in having plans back. Couple of these would make a good donation to our local sheriff's department in exchange for me getting access to their range. SIL is a jail officer.

No rush on your part...when it's convenient for you and you're out of things to do. THANKS AGAIN!!
