Starting a new project with scroll saw then carving

Featured Replies

I found this picture. It is faded so bad I didn't think it would print and enlarge like I needed.

It has taken two days to prepare the wood up to this size then two more days to do the scroll sawing and right

when I was 1/2 through the scroll saw started knocking much worse than I have ever heard. Even when not sawing anything just running every few seconds the whole machine would shake and go clank...then run smooth again.

Lucky to have seven 788 machines wrapped in plastic in the back room just sitting and waiting their turn, I guess.

The ole saying a group of high school boys could tear up an anvil I still believe for some of the dumbest things I find wrong with some or all of the machines like the thumb knob to tighten the blade has been broken off inside the housing so that has been replaces and a few other things broke of damaged but so far they all run so quite I didn't realized the one I been using was completely worn out?

The machine I been using has been burning the wood like the blades were worn out but after I got this one set up I used the same blade to check out the alignment and hey, no burning anymore. Evidently every thing was worn so bad the blade would not run true like it use to. And yes the blade would wiggle and shake as the machine was running..

John like you said, my trouble with not posting pictures is working and it was one of the little ikons up top in the middle where there are three small things I don't think I ever pushed just to see what would happen. I will post a picture of that area later.

I didn't count the pieces I turned this picture in to and it took and hour and a half to get it back together before I start grinding through the picture pieces and hopefully it will look better than the picture ever did.

I was asking what was this serpents color if one was real and she never realized there is one in this picture.

John these three things on the left of Start a new topic and it is the one on the left end thats got the grey box around it told me no pictures could posted for the server did not recognize them and it gave me -200 code for the reason. Jess, those three icons are simply custom views of the forums. If you click on the four horizontal bars, you'll get the traditional forum listing view, the four squares will give you a grid pattern for the categories, and the broken horizontal bars will give you all the topics in one view.

You were able to post that image above here in this topic, so I am not sure what is going on with you not being able post images? I'm here for ya Jess, lets get this working and comfy for you. Let me know if what I just wrote helps at all.

John like I've said before I don't cotton to the computer so if I don't have to push any buttons is how I like to work. Just like I don't know how that first button got activated but it changed everything and none of it I ever seen on your site. The first thing I learned I could not post any pictures no matter where they came from.

Well you are posting images now Jess, so it looks like you got it all squared away correct?

Sorry for not replying sooner for some bug had done me in for a while...

Yes its back to normal finally. All I did was click on to  that square box to the left of  Start new Topic and it took me to the regular things I was accustomed to seeing and at the same time it quit showing error -200

It looks like the Mac or Mat somebody was having the same problem back in one of his post in 2018 for he did mention all he was getting when tried to post a picture  was error -200 showing on the screen and it also seems like he didn't show up here anymore??? If so, too bad no one could give him the right answer then.  But I might be wrong and just didn't pay attention for I didn't read his question in 2018 as I didn't know the answer then either.

How are you today, Daddy?

Sherri, since the doctors aren't a lot of help and I never got my diploma things are on stand by thingy!

Its almost like mom has been spiking my coffee with some crown royal and I have never seen a bottle of that in our house, ever.

And since I can't get any sleep in bed I did try the recliner last night but that was a mistake.

I guess you might say I'm going through the change of life the hard way?

I assume you guys got home okay?

There was this plane a few days ago that radioed the airport and told them they were having engine problems and would have to make an emergency landing somewhere other than the airport and the pilot went to the back of the twin engine plane and jumped out at 3300 feet altitude, with no parachute. Speculation was he must have seen a soft spot or else the commode was stopped up and he had to go!
