Some of us are still in our first. As has been said, ya gotta grow older. Nothing says ya gotta grow up.:OldManSmiley:

:ChinScratch: I tried acting grown up, it wasn't as much fun, so at my age I prefer to call it my second chidhood. ;)

:Tapping: Still have to wonder when somebody asks if I'm all there why the wife answers "As there as he gets." :WonderScratch:

While I am now very busy at work all day. I have not given up on projects after work.  This new cabinet will replace a metal one that is rusting out and falling apart.  Currently doors and drawer front are in finishing room. Probably done by end of week

Checked my favorite "Bone Yard"'s online inventory and finally a 2006-08 Pilot without Sunroof!

So went and pulled out the headliner, then figured I'd better get it installed before something happened to it.

Still have a few trim pieces to install, but I'll finish tomorrow.

Sure looks different with a headliner after driving it for a year without one.

Bonus It's even the right color!

I got out of bed this morning, made breakfast then got a haircut this afternoon. Oh, just finished supper too a little bit ago.

It's  20:00 and I'm beat. 108° wears me out. Went to HD for a sheet of 2" rigid foam and 5 ea. cord caps and plugs.

Got the foam sized and on the bench, ready to use.  Strung out 100 of extension cord and cut it into 5 ea 20' lengths. Did that outside in the heat. Don't  need a 100' extension any more. Early tomorrow, I'll start installing caps and, plugs.  But that'll be done in the shop with the swamp cooler and, fans blowing in my direction.

Most new mothers look to see if their new baby has all it's fingers and toes. Mine told me she dug through my hair to see if I had ears.

I am back home, in my own bed!  But it is only a brief layover...

Trip up to upstate NY was ok.  Stretched it out to three days on the road, it allowed me to take a longer lunch break and do some walking - likewise it allowed for an earlier stop so that I could get out of the truck and move around and keep the old back in good repair.  I needed that as I spent the first week in NY on my hands and knees laying carpet.

Drove the little Chevy truck up and transferred it to my younger brother, he's disabled and not a lot of disposable income.  The Chevy replaces an older Jeep that he had.  Not really sure what was holding that Jeep together, what with all the rust and holes in it it should have weighed 1/3 what it weighed new!!!

The wife and I took Amtrak home.  That was an experience!  That trip was broken into two parts, the first was a coach ride from Syracuse, NY to New York City.  After a couple hours layover we boarded a sleeper car for the trip from NYC to Atlanta.  Near as I could tell, there is nothing "comfortable" about sleeping on a train, or at least that train.  But it was still an interesting experience, and I look forward to do it again.

We left NY Saturday 7:00 AM with temps in the 40's, arrived in Atlanta Sunday 10:30 AM with temps that afternoon just edging above 100! :JawDrop:  A bit of adjustment was needed there...

So, now I am in the process of gathering stuff up for a trip to O-HI-O in a couple weeks.

Glad the trip went well Cal. Haven't been on an actual passenger (commercial) train for decades.
