Oh, crikey! Now I HAVE to possess one. All it took was the video (mind control?). I picture etching crisp vector art designs on my shims and now wedges.

A heart pine shim engraved as a business card. 👍

LOL I hear ya! When my wife surprised me saying I could be get one for Fathers day I surprised. I didn't want to go CO2 because, well, I didn't want to spend the money on it. When I was looking at those rotary devices I was worried about balencing and odd shaped objects. I saw the RA2 and watch several videos of it working and was sold!

If you get one let me know and maybe we can compare notes. LOL

It looks like a nice versatile machine Kevin.  When do you actually get your hands on it?

I surely want to follow along as you get it, set it up, learn to use it and all that stuff!

For cyclindrical items it offers a few different ways to hold the item and level it so the focal point is even giving a better result. LOL

Well thank you...that explains it!:throbbinghead:

I am waiting to get shipping notice on the laser. The rotary tool will take 3-4 weeks. Lol I am checking emails a couple of times a day in anticipation. Watching a lot of tutorials on the light burn software. Also trying to figure out where to put and probably build a temp cover for it. I hope it will be fun. Thanks

Thanks Gene! It is on the UPS truck as of right now. Wife informed me we are going furniture shopping  So I hope it gets here before we leave LOL. I have been watching a lot of videos of different projects and such. I even snagged my wife old Mac (she got a new one for her birthday) for the software :). Built a new shelf for clean an area for the laser to go.

That's how you learn it Kev, jump in and start flailing around... or is that swimming... great start Kev!

I'd say you have a handle on this software thing.
