I received a pleasant phone call from Shopsmith a few days ago. It was out of the blue. Typically if I don't recognize the number on my cell I just ignore it, but this one came through and was not flagged as spam, so I just felt like picking it up, and on the other end was a really nice Shopsmith gal. She introduced herself and asked if I was in need of any supplies, or upgrades, and if I was happy with my Shopsmith and prior purchases from their online store. I told her all is well, and at this time I am not in need of anything, and she thanked me and after some more courtesies, we hung up.

It was so off the wall, and nice to be contacted by them. I am sure they are trying to drum up business, and this follow up was hoping to generate an order, but her genuine personality fits the small USA company.

Her phone call has prompted me to visit their online store and I am looking at a few things for my SS. I know I could go out to the second hand market for most of what I need, but if I can I'll purchase from their online store, to do my small part in hopefully helping a USA company stay alive.
