April 27, 20224 yr Popular Post I have been trying to find out what type of hand plane this is. There is a knob with the victor logo of what appears to be Leonard Baileys Victor line but nothing that I could find matches anything as far as the plane itself goes. There are no other markings that I can see and the plane measures 26" long. Any help identifying this thing would be greatly appreciated. Also no screw for the tote either, it is just held on by friction.
April 27, 20224 yr Popular Post For a while, back when Bailey and Stanley weren't on "speaking terms"....Bailey set up his own factory to produce a line of tools.....until Stanley sued him back into working for Stanley, again....That is where this plane would have come from. Sometime in the 1880s? Appears to be a Jointer sized plane.....Tote MIGHT have been a replacement....
