April 19, 20224 yr Author Thanks everybody. It is a great wood to turd. Wish I had a truck load of it but it’s hard to find.
April 20, 20224 yr Bradford Pear gets a lot of bad press but it's one of the best woods there is for turning.

I get frustrated every year around this time. Those darned things are so invasive, along with callery pears. Going down the interstate, they are all over the place as well as empty lots. The trees are fragile, smell bad when in bloom, and drop nasty berries. And they are crowding out native species. Please turn all of it that you can.
