20220419_131240.jpg.bfd4b7a5c6a78c37ffcf3a0f403414d6.jpgI had a small piece of Bradford Pear given to me. I made this small bowl 5.5 inches by 1.5 inches.

Some nice curl there too

Love it Rusty.

Really turned out nice (pun intended).

Thanks everybody. It is a great wood to turd. Wish I had a truck load of it but it’s hard to find.

Bradford Pear gets a lot of bad press but it's one of the best woods there is for turning.

That's a beautiful piece Rusty

Oooh, hope that's a typo.

I get frustrated every year around this time.  Those darned things are so invasive, along with callery pears.  Going down the interstate, they are all over the place as well as empty lots.  The trees are fragile, smell bad when in bloom, and drop nasty berries.   And they are crowding out native species.

Please turn all of it that you can.
