Forgot to tell ya demonstrator was Matt Monaco. The hands on Friday was on using a skew. By the way the tops do work and the second one he could spin upside down. February 22, 20224 yr Nice skew work. When I was pres of our club I talked to him about visiting. For one reason or another it never happened. Did you like his demo? Did he do a workshop day?

He did the skew and tops in the morning , afternoon was the bowl. Yes we did a hands on . Had 14 sign up with 11 lathes. Will wear dust mask and have flow thru ventilation if we do that again. Just spindles created a black yard bag full of shavings.
February 23, 20224 yr Popular Post The first top looks too tall to spin. Pretty cool. I like the skew and can handle it pretty well but a piece with all that detail would be hard to do without a goof up somewhere.
