February 21, 20224 yr Anybody that sees adds for unpainted wood supplies from Wayfair might want to think twice about ordering from them. Today is the forth time for a delay in shipping notice and its now set for a March 1 time to be receiving my stuff.. I'm thinking it might be on a ship sitting out there in the ocean waiting to be un loaded and they might have started advertising that stuff before they had it in their hot little hands????
February 21, 20224 yr Hope you have better luck than I did. Ordered a computer part in August. Came at the beginning of February. What they sent wasn't what they pictured on the website or in their spec.
February 21, 20224 yr Maybe they're using the "wood rope" to tie to the anchors until they can unload.
February 22, 20224 yr Author I like to see the quality of the wood thats for sure before I pay for it but there was no one stocking the smaller sizes of wood rope.
March 5, 20224 yr Author Popular Post I finally got my rope molding and it looks great, just like in the advertising picture.
March 5, 20224 yr Author Dave the molding had bar code tag and Bernadette swung her phone past it and it said Ornamental Molding out of North or South Carolina? Seems like they supply all the places that sells the rope? So why so long getting here? Edited March 5, 20224 yr by Smallpatch

Possible they might just be a primary U.S. distributor but imports stock from outside the U.S.? Who knows anymore in this day and age. Maybe there has been a ban on logging rope trees.
March 6, 20224 yr I like that molding! Glad you got it. Last year when we remodeled our bathrooms wife ordered the vanities from Wayfair without issues.
March 6, 20224 yr Popular Post Those look good Jess, is your first project ready for them? As to the speed (of lack of) getting those to you, please take into account that NC/SC is a long ways from NY or Mass, or wherever you had ordered them from. And if they were routed through Canada on the way... the border was closed for a bit...
March 7, 20224 yr Author Cal they went from Mass. to Tenn. then to North Carolina and thats all they would say on the, follow your shipment, thingy. The box had a long rip in it and was all bent up but they were in good condition I had noticed some one, Fed X or UPS driver dumped lots of his deliveries in some revine around Christmas time cause he just didn't want to make the deliveries. Well duh!
March 8, 20224 yr Author Popular Post No, Cal my next project still needs some 1/2" Baltic Birch plywood and the last time my daughter was here I asked her to look for some of that plywood for me and since the project is for her and she is in Germany right now, I get to take a break so to speak...funny to for last year they were fixin to go to Germany for the first time she said, dad since you spent time in Germany when you were in the army so what are the good vacation sites in Germany. First off Terri the only thing I can tell you about Germany I went every where in the back of a big Army truck with a tarp over us so all I ever got to see of Germany I was headed backwards going down the smallest roads they had. They did have the Auto Bonn (spelling?) which was a great divided highway with no speed limit but for some strange reason most of our vechicles were tracked type and that would have chewed up their super highway so we were delegated to the very old types of roads and thats my vacation you might have thought I had while the army paid all my expenses.
