Popular Post Gunny Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted December 29, 2021 The finishing room has been a new journey for me. Never had one so I am adding things as I go that I find I need to be able to keep the workflow going. The cabinet I made for supplies has worked well and has built in parts washer, but little counter space. So for this build I wanted that added. Next was trash, in my shop I have two types of cans. Burn, or not burn. Needed same thing here. Lastly on my wish list was a drawer for tools. That did not work into this mix. Just not enough room and be able to get trash into the cans. My next goal for this build was as few screws as possible. This eats time but for the few things I did need screws for I did not have to worry about hitting other screws. Also means I get one chance at being right on the money. This plywood is not the best plywood, but it was free, so I am not complaining. Project took me about 2 weeks of work each evening. Finish is Golden oak stain, a coat of amber shellac and 3 coats of polyurethane. Casters are 2 1/2 inch to get some more space out of cabinet instead of my typical 3 inch industrial strength ones. Glued entire cabinet together in a single sitting. Did a dry fit. Some stain work. Completed project installed in Finishing Room. Cal, Fred W. Hargis Jr, FlGatorwood and 6 others 9 Quote

Popular Post DAB Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted December 29, 2021 drawer? looks like you have plenty of space above each trash can for a drawer. i have 2 large metal trash cans, one by the main workbench, one near the TS for scrap cutoffs and sawdust. when full, both get taken to the dump. Popular Post StaticLV2 Posted December 30, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted December 30, 2021 You could also make a slide out caddy for each of the trash cans and put drawers above it. I have this solution in my kitchen and it is very convenient. Cal, lew, Gerald and 2 others 5 Quote
