December 28, 20214 yr Popular Post comment_279452 The problem with starting over / building from scratch is all the little things. Today I started out with the intention of building something that requires a rabbet. Just a little cabinet to hang under the Shopsmith and keep stuff organized. No problem. Just set it up and put my sacrificial...oh wait... I haven't built a sacrificial fence yet. In fact, there are a whole lot of table saw jigs I haven't built yet, but this particular one is getting in my way. So shifting gears, the fence jig is in glue-up and I am back to designing things. December 29, 20214 yr Author comment_279555 On the good side, I put my fence in place and discovered that my fence wasn’t at 90* in relation to the table saw. It wasn’t really noticeable at the normal height of the fence but it sure was when i put a 12” fence on it. So that problem is now corrected… It’s the little things. Report
December 30, 20214 yr Author comment_279567 I was able to get back to it and got the carcass for my ShopSmith undermount cabinet glued up. Note to self... Get some longer bar clamps. 48" isn't enough. It's always the little things. Report
