That is some nice turnings. I particular like the hollow form in first pic and the natural edge looks like Oak, maybe Pin Oak?

The lighter wood is ash, some locust, both from Wisconsin. For those turned in Florida, some said water oak, some said pin oak. Also had some wild cherry.

 

Finish is shellac and lacquer.  First picture, item on left was inspired by steve's jar lids. Fits quart canning jar.
