December 9, 20214 yr Popular Post Nice turnings, Larry. The live edge pieces are very appealing. What wood(s) are used? Beautiful finishes, too. What was the product and, how was it applied?

December 9, 20214 yr Popular Post That is some nice turnings. I particular like the hollow form in first pic and the natural edge looks like Oak, maybe Pin Oak?
December 9, 20214 yr ^^^^^+1 to everything ^^^^^ Thank you for sharing Larry. Keep the projects and pics coming.
December 10, 20214 yr Author Popular Post The lighter wood is ash, some locust, both from Wisconsin. For those turned in Florida, some said water oak, some said pin oak. Also had some wild cherry. Finish is shellac and lacquer. First picture, item on left was inspired by steve's jar lids. Fits quart canning jar.
